  1. SKIN CANCER BY JAMES

  2. SKIN CANCER The reason I chose this disease is because I think everyone should learn a little more about it.

  3. HOW DO YOU GET SKIN CANCER 90% of skin cancer is caused by too much sun exposure. Normally, after sun exposure, the skin's normal repair system causes the damaged cells to stop reproducing, die and flake off the skin (this is why the skin peels after sunburn). If this mechanism is impaired, and the injured cells continue to multiply, the skin becomes more vulnerable to further damage by the sun.

  4. WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMES OF SKIN CANCER? Skin cancer first appears as a growth, or abnormal accumulation of cells. It sometimes takes the form of a sore or pimple that does not heal. The sore may bleed or ooze fluid, crust or scab over, and then ooze or bleed again. Cancer can occur on almost area of the skin, but is most common on areas often exposed to the sun. Skin cancer usually is painless.

  5. THE CURE FOR SKIN CANCER Natural therapies Antioxidant nutrients such as vitamin A (beta carotene), vitamin C, and vitamin E can help reduce the risk of cell damage, especially when taken in conjunction with the minerals zinc and selenium Essential fatty acids, such as those found in Evening Primrose and Fish Oils, are also essential for the health of the skin

  6. HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF putting on a shirt, sunscreen and a hat.
