  4. HEFESTO SE CASÓ CON AFRODITA, AGRADECIDO ZEUS POR CONSTRUIRLE EL RAYO EN SU LUCHA CONTRA LOS GIGANTES. AFRODITA LO ENGAÑÓ CON ARES (MARTE), DIOS DE LA GUERRA. APOLOLE AVISÓ DEL ENGAÑO EN SU FRAGUA Y HEFESTO LES PREPARÓ UNA RED INVISIBLE EN EL LECHO PARA ATRAPARLOS. 4

  5. HEFESTO ERA EL PATRÓN DE LOS ARTESANOS (HERREROS) Y DE LA CIVILIZACIÓN (FUEGO). HEFESTO SE REPRESENTA TRABAJANDO EN SU FRAGUA BAÑADO DE SUDOR, SUCIO, CON EL PELO Y LA BARBA EN DESORDEN. SU FRENTE ESTÁ NEGRA POR EL HUMO, EL PECHO DESCUBIERTO Y UN EXTRAÑO GORRO. LLEVA EN UNA MANO UN MARTILLO Y EN LA OTRA UN RAYO. 5
