Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites. (NIV).

Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. (NIV).

Then you will be prosperous and successful. (NIV).

Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." (NIV).

Three days from now you will cross the Jordan here to go in and take possession of the land the LORD your God is giving you for your own.'" (NIV).

Ninh gorngv, 'ZIOUV, meih mbuo nyei Tin-Hungh, liuc leiz ziangx dorngx bun meih mbuo hitv kuonx yaac jiu naaiv norm deic-bung bun meih mbuo.' 13 "Remember the command that Moses the servant of the LORD gave you: 'The LORD your God is giving you rest and has granted you this land.' (NIV).

You are to help your brothers (NIV).

After that, you may go back and occupy your own land, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you east of the Jordan toward the sunrise." (NIV).

Only may the LORD your God be with you as he was with Moses. (NIV).

  21. I. Submit to spiritual authority (1:1-9) 1. Tin-Hungh orn hnyouv Yo^su^waa gorngv “Oix zuqc henv yaac zungx jienv daamv” ei jienv Ziouv nyei leiz zoux. God was encouraging Joshua to “Be strong and courageous” regarding the Law. 2. Yo^su^waa dorh I^saa^laa^en Mienh ziux Tin-Hungh nyei ziangh hoc. Joshua was to lead Israel on God’s term.

  22. II. Be careful to obey all the law (1:7-9) 1. “Meih oix zuqc henv yaac zungx jienv domh daamv. Oix zuqc faix fim ei jienv yie nyei bou, Mose, jiu bun nyei yietc zungv leiz-latc, (ys. 7a-b). “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; (v. 7a-b).

  23. 2. Maiv dungx bungx ndortv yietc diuh, weic bun meih, maiv gunv mingh taux haaix, haih duqv longx.” (ys.7c) 2. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, so that you may be successful wherever you go (v. 7c)

  24. 3. Maiv dungx la'kuqv zanc-zanc doqc naaiv buonv Leiz-Latc Sou.(ys.8a). 3. This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth (v. 8a).

  25. 4. Ndorm-ndorm muonz-muonz oix zuqc fei-fangv, weic bun meih faix fim ei jienv sou fiev nyei yietc zungv waac.(ys.8b). 4. You shall meditate on it day and night (v. 8b).

Hnangv naaic meih zoux nyei nyungc-nyungc ziouc zoux duqv longx yaac zoux duqv dunh yunh.(ys.8c-d) 5. so that you may be careful to act in accordance with all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall be successful (v. 8c-d).

Maiv dungx gamh nziex yaac maiv dungx hnyouv namx, weic zuqc maiv gunv meih mingh taux haaix, ZIOUV, meih nyei Tin-Hungh,caux meih yiem.” (ys.9). 6. I hereby command you: Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go (v. 9)

  28. III. Rally God’s people (1:10-11) Yo^su^waa Dorh yietc zungv Tin-Hungh nyei mienh daaih gapv zunv. 1. Yo^su^waa ziux Tin-Hungh nyei lingc paaiv waac bun yietc zungv zoux bieiv nyei mienh. Joshua transmitted God’s commandments through the “officers of the people”.

  29. 2. Mbuo yaac horpc zuqc mbuox Tin-Hungh nyei mienh oix zuqc ziepc zuoqv hnyouv bun Tin-Hungh nyei waac. We need to mobilize the people of God to be faithful to God’s Word.

  30. *Ndorm zinh nziouv muangx gorqc zeic hoqc Ging-Sou daux gaux. Personal Bible Study and Prayer. * Cuotv taan Tin-Hungh nyei waac bun maiv hiuv Tin-Hungh nyei mienh. Sharing of God’s Word to those don’t know God.

  31. IV. Seek unity among God’s people (1:12-15) 1. Yo^su^waa dorh naaiv 12 fingx I^saa^laa^en Mienh gapv zunv daaih cuotv mingh caangv Tin-Hungh paaiv bun ninh mbuo nyei deic-bung. Joshua united the 12 tribes of Israel for the conquest of the Promised Land.

  32. 2. Mbuo yaac horpc zuqc dongh diuc hnyouv yiem juangc jienv zoux gong mingh caangv taux duqv mbuo nyei ngaengc deic-bung. We need to be united in leadership team and work together to conquest our promise land too.

  33. V. Obey God by obeying Jesus (1:16-18) 1. I^saa^laa^en Mienh ziepc zuoqv hnyouv bun Tin-Hungh weic muangx Ye^su^waa nyei waac. 1. Israel expressed faithfulness to God by obeying Joshua.

  34. 2. Mbuo ziepc zuoqv hnyouv bun Tin-Hungh yiem mbuo mbuoqc dongh zoux dorh lingh wuonh nyei bieiv wuov deix. 2. We are faithful to God when we submit to spiritual leaders.

  35. 3. Maiv zeiz hnangv m’zing-mbuov mienh nor gan mienh, mv baac oix zuqc haih samx duqv cuotv mbuo gan nyei mienh se dongh haaix nyungc bieiv. Zoux bieiv nyei mienh qiemx zuqc maaih longx nyei nyungc zeiv doix-diuc Tin-Hungh caux nyei waac. 3. Not as blind followers but exercise discernment. What kind leader we are following. Leaders need to be congruent with God’s Word.

Setv Mueiz Waac Conclusion Ih hnoi nyei Ging-Sou njaaux mbuo oix zuqc faix fim gan longx yietc zungv Tin-Hungh nyei leiz-latc, maiv dungx bungx ndortv yietc diuh, maiv dungx mingh zaaix fai mingh mbiaauc. Today’s Scripture teaches us, be careful to obey all the law of God, do not turn from it to the right or to the left.
