Using the diagram below, what is the length of the missing side in the larger kite? 18.75 in. 25 in. 22.5 in. x x = length of longer side of the large kite The length of the missing side on the larger kite is 30 inches.

  4. Example #3: While studying the population of squirrels in a local park, researchers caught and tagged 100 squirrels. Two months later, the researchers counted 615 squirrels and saw that 60 of them had tags. What is the best estimate for the squirrel population? Sample counted Total population x = estimate of the squirrel population There are around 1025 squirrels in the park.
