  2. SUNY Canton • A self-contained community perfectly suited as a learning environment. It is comprised of 555 acres located in a scenic, semi-rural setting bordering the Grasse River and within walking distance of downtown Canton. • The brand new Convocation Athletic and Recreation Center nicknamed Roos House, featuring an ice rink, pool, fitness center, and field house The Southworth Library, serves as the technological center and research hub of campus

  3. Programs –Small Business Management • Small Business ManagementThis program runs for three weeks. Students participating in this program will be involved in the morning academic lectures and workshops that offer insight into small business development concepts followed by visits to the area small businesses. The program also includes afternoon and weekend field trips and excursions. Students can expect to gain a better understanding of the small business development, concepts related to small business management and the ways businesses should operate to be successful

  4. English as a Second Language and Culture This program runs for three weeks. It provides English Language learners with a purpose for developing reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Formal instruction occurs in the mornings and the field and cultural trips are scheduled during afternoons and on weekends. Students who participate in this program should expect to improve their English speaking abilities, increase reading vocabulary and use language skills while exploring a variety of cultural settings.

  5. Niagara Falls Trip • Three day stay in Buffalo at Buffalo State University dorm with a day trip to Niagara Falls; shopping center

  6. Local trips • Local museums, beaches, hiking, swimming Canoeing, BBQs

  7. Lake Placid Trip • Day trip to Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid (home of the 1984 Olympics)

  8. NY City trip • Four day stay at Columbia University, NY City

  9. Summer 2013 • Application deadline- March 30 • Applying for B visitor visa • Letter of invitation from the International Programs Office • Cost $2900 (includes: accommodation, most meals, transportation, academic instruction) • Please visit www.canton.edu/international
