Learning Intention I am learning: 1.About the dignity of the human person made in the image of God. 2.About the life of Jesus and his challenge to us to contribute to the creation of a just world. 3.What it means to be wise and compassionate to the needs of others. 4.How the church fulfilsits prophetic and missionary role in our world today. 5.About my personal response to situations that pose a moral challenge and how others are responding. 6.How I can engage with issues of social injustice. 7.About people who are left out by others and how I can help.

Success Criteria 1.I understand that each person has been made in the image and the likeness of God and how I should respect their dignity. 2.I have explored Jesus’ life, his example in serving all, and his challenge to me to create a just world. 3.I am aware of the needs of others and what it means to have compassion. 4.I have researched how the church responds to its prophetic and missionary role in the world today. 5.I have explored what is meant by situations of moral challenge. a. I can explain how others have responded to these situations. b. I know how to make informed decisions if faced with these situations. 6. I have made practical plans to engage with issues of social injustice. 7.I now recognisegroups of people who are left out by others and that I can respond to give appropriate support.
