NSCC SECURITY OFFICE Wednesday, December 7, 2011 12:55 pm Officer Peter Stalgis observes an unusual number of Security staff loitering in the office. 1:00 pm President Mark Mitsui arrives, followed by executive team members, STARS Committee, and campus colleagues. 1:01 pm Peter is surrounded. He cannot escape. 1:02 pm President Mark Mitsui announces Peter is the Golden Star Employee of the Quarter for Fall 2011. For once, Peter is speechless.

  3. Mark Mitsui recognized that Security does many things for campus that people don’t always know about, and thanked Officer Peter Stalgis for his dedication and service.

  4. President Mark Mitsui presented Officer Peter Stalgis with an NSCC gold star pin as STARS Chair John Gleason watches.

  5. Peter Stalgis poses with his certificate and Barnes & Noble gift card. Since 2006, Peter has been the day-shift officer at North. Security Officers are required to deal with some of the most unusual or routine, sensitive, and often stressful matters, in order to uphold college rules and maintain safety for everyone on campus. Officer Stalgis stands out for his high standards, problem-solving and creative skills, knowledge, kindness, and integrity.
