  1. Eco-conscious travel to Denmark Alex Leddin

  2. The Danish Countryside Demark is a small yet beautiful Scandinavian country. Through the course of this presentation I’d like to display how everyone can sustainably travel overseas and enjoy the beautiful country of Denmark!

  3. Hotel accommodations • Denmark, like much of Europe, happens to be a leader in the ecotourism industry. The most impressive hotel option I found was called EcoFarm Holiday. This ecotourism group has a newly restored farmhouse in the Danish countryside. The accommodations are located on a small self-sustaining farm with crop production and a small husbandry unit of sheep and poultry. • http://www.ethicalescape.com/ecofarmholiday.htm

  4. Activities • Only 1.5km (0.93 miles) away is a small village with an old church and shops. • Not far from the farm is a large wildlife sanctuary with rare plants, birds, and insects. The area also has trout fishing which patrons can put in and take out. • Only 5km (3.2 miles) is a large, open air swimming pool. • 15km (9.3 miles) is a large tourism area. It contains the home of Hans Christian Andersen and marzipan. The area also has golf courses, museums, cafes, and small shops.

  5. It is easy in Denmark to use mass transportation such as boats, trains, and bicycles. In fact, transportation such, the EcoFarm Holiday can be easily reached by train from Copenhagen.

  6. Travel • Demark is a notably safe area. Thus, modes of transportation such as trains, boats, and bicycles are safe for individuals at nearly any hour.

  7. The Marguerite Route The Marguerite Route was the first scenic route established in Denmark. This tour of Denmark is especially appealing to cyclists as many of the road ways cannot be driven on by cars. The entire route is 3600km.

  8. Future Travels • I would encourage anyone who is interesting in traveling to Denmark to explore • www.visitdenmark.com
