Master Plan Purpose • Strategic guidance for future greenway development • Integrate recreation, transportation, natural resource management and improved water quality • Natural and cultural resource stewardship • Greenway trail alignment, interpretive themes and design direction • Implementation strategies: land protection, phasing, capital and operational budgets, cost share • Satisfies requirements for Met Council regional designation

Project Process July 2012 – Project Start January 2013– Open House to explore alternatives May-June 2013 – Public Review of Draft Plan May 2013 – Open House to review draft plan July 2013 – Anticipated adoption by County Board Late Summer - Submit to MetCouncil for Master Plan adoption and designation as Regional Trail
