  1. Applying Stretch Film Properly and Economically Most packaging companies face higher-than-expected operating costs. This is attributed to several factors, one of which is stretch film application. Here's how you can apply stretch film properly and economically.

  2. Stretch film, shrink wrap film or plastic wrap is used to protect products from being damaged during transport, storage and display. Stretch film can be fitted with different types of sealing tapes for a variety of applications. Stretch Film can be applied manually or with the use of automated equipment. Stretch film is something that all companies have to buy in order to package and protect their products. The question is whether or not we are getting the best value for our stretch wrap film dollar by stretching it properly and economically. The stretch film category is doing unique things with this beneficial and cost-effect product. It's not just the manufacturers, but customers in the construction industry are using it to great effect, according to many end users. Stretch film is a newer form of plastic film that is utilized for the purpose of pallet wrapping. Pallet wrapping has been around for quite some time, starting with cardboard and paper. But it became popular in the early 1980s with the introduction of shrink wrapping, which was invented by Otis Brothers Company. Today's stretch wrap is derived from shrink wrap technology and is made, as you can guess, using a process that shrinks or compresses the plastic. Tips To Apply Stretch Film Properly There are many benefits of using stretch film. It is a cost-effective way to protect your product from damage and theft, as well as increase the efficiency of your warehouse operations. However, there is a right way and a wrong way to apply the stretch film. The following tips will help you apply this product properly:

  3. 1. Stretch film works best when applied to smooth surfaces with little to no texture. This ensures that the film sticks well and does not come off during transport or handling. If there is any texture on the surface you're trying to cover, use a roller or something similar to smooth out the area before laying down your plastic wrap. 2. When applying the stretch film, it's important not to try and do everything by hand. Using an applicator allows you to spread out the plastic wrap on your product quickly and easily without tearing or wrinkling it up too much in the process. This makes it easier for you to wrap up your items properly so they stay protected throughout their journey from point A to point B! 3. Measure the length of each roll and cut off excess material that would be wasted if it remained on the roll. You should leave at least 1 inch of extra material so that you can fold over any loose ends during application. This will prevent them from sticking together and causing a tear in the plastic wrap. 4. Use a roller that is designed specifically for applying stretch film (also known as a “roller gun”). These tools make it much easier for you to apply the film without getting stuck or damaging anything else in your warehouse or storeroom. You should also wear gloves when using these rollers so that you don’t accidentally scratch your hands or fingers on anything sharp during application. 5. When it comes time to apply the film, cut small pieces rather than large ones. This allows you to minimize waste and make sure that you are using the right amount of material for your application needs. By cutting smaller pieces of stretch film, you will also be able to get more out of your roll, making it last longer as well!
