  21. New sales model for OnlineBooks™ Wiley InterScience OnlineBooks are now offered via two, convenient options: One-Time Fee Option and/or Flexi-Subscription Option

One Time Fee Option • Pay once for ongoing access. • Build your own customized collections – selecting your online holdings on a title-by-title basis (20-title minimum applies on sign-up) • Additional titles can be added at any time • Unlimited concurrent access for your users • COUNTER-compliant usage statistics will be provided • Pricing is based on the US list-price of the hard-cover version of each title selected

Flexi-subscription Option • Build your own customized collections   • Titles are priced at an annual flat fee determined by FTE  • Subscription based one calendar year’s access  • Additional titles can be added at any time  • Once you have subscribed to a title for three consecutive years, you will be provided ongoing access to that title for no additional fee  • At renewal you can add, delete or swap out any of the subscribed titles – subject to the 20-title minimum • There is unlimited concurrent access for your users • Counter compliant usage statistics are provided

Wiley in Russia • In the past, mainly print subscriptions to Wiley journals with a few electronic licenses • We are looking at options to provide electronic access to our Online journals to Russian academic institutions • Wiley has a large office near Moscow with 68 permanent staff plus about 100 free-lancers doing software development for Wiley

  27. Wiley in Russia continued • Traditionally, sales were done through subscription agents with some direct business • Wiley started exploring business opportunities with major consortium initiatives in Russia • Wiley is interested in including more Russian content into Wiley InterScience
