  7. d) RFC Series and IANA: RFC Model • The transition is on track • Glenn Kowack has defined a framework for how to design the RFC Editor function and its interactions. • The framework is vetted this week • talk to him • Drafts (e.g. RFC5620 modification, Job Description, and hiring process) will be developed and published between now and review in September

  8. e) ISOC Liaison • Nothing to report on, although there is a constant informal information flow

  9. f) External Liaison • Murray Kucherawy appointed as liaison to the Open Mobile Alliance • Dean Willis is acknowledged for managing the liaison relation since 2004 • IEEE 802.23 liaison established and Richard Barnes appointed as the liaison manager

Going Forward • Internal reorganization of the workflow. • Programs • Long-term work that needs continuous attention over multiple IAB appointment cycles • Initiatives • Short term work that can be completed roughly within an IAB members tenure • Responsibilities • Reoccurring responsibilities • To improve how we manage our responsibilities, improve transparency, and make clear commitments
