Course Title:Human Computer Interaction and Interface Design

Course Code:ITT 405

Year Offered:4

Total Hours:45

Pre-requisites:Introduction to Psychology (PSY 100) &

Software Engineering (ITT 400)

Rationale

Students of Information Technology need to have an understanding of human computer interaction issues and to develop capabilities in the critical application of these theories. They should also have knowledge of new design methods and techniques in human computer interaction and interface design.

Course Description

This course examines the interaction between humans and computers and explores the design of computer interfaces that are based on the abilities, limitations, and goals of the users. Students will be introduced to the principles underlying the interaction of humans with computers and the design of computer interfaces by reviewing the theories and current research in the area.
