  2. Timeline • PHASE 1: Summer 2014 • PHASE 2: Fall 2014 • PHASE 3: Winter 2015 (Dec 2014-Jan 2015) & Spring 2015Note that PHASE 3 will include all instructors who use ANGEL whohave not already migrated.

  3. How has it been going so far? • The process has been quite smooth.Very few problems have occurred thus far.(Feedback from current users of Bb?)

  4. Training • Blackboard “Playground” (For Q&A and practice) • Every Friday: 10 am – 4 pm, Room 206 • Additional training on various Bb topics will be scheduled and announced throughout the Fall semester. • Individual meetings can be scheduled with:Tony DeFranco and/or Bob Yavits

  5. IMPORTANT!!! • Our ANGEL instance will be taken down after January 2015.In order to perform the migration, you should export all courses this fall from ANGEL.We will provide empty course shells in Blackboard to do this.

  6. HELP: • Good News: there is lots of available support for Blackboard online and elsewhere.This includes: • A TC3 Wiki page including complete Migration Instructions. • 2 Self-Paced courses in each TC3 Instructor Bb Account. • Online listings of brief instructional videos for both instructors and students, including a Blackboard Channel on YouTube. • Online recordings of archived Open SUNY training Webinars. • Live support from Bob & Tony, and the Open SUNY Helpdesk: (1-800-875-6269, 1)

  7. Getting Started with Blackboard • All TC3 Instructors can now log into their Blackboard account at:https://tc3bb.open.suny.edu • You should see, under “Courses” one BLANK Practice course, in addition to the Self Paced Blackboard Training courses. • Instructions for the Migration Process are in the TC3 Wiki. This includes exporting your course from ANGEL and importing it into Blackboard. • If you need more blank course shells in Bb, send your request to techsupport@tc3.edu
