A Dollar In - A Dollar Out • For most charities - only 20-30% Goes to Meet Needs • Up to 70 percent is spent on salaries, marketing, advertising and overhead costs • The Southern Baptist World Hunger Fund sends 100% of every donation straight to people in need • Salaries and operating expenses are already covered through giving channels such as the Cooperative Program

  5. Instead of preaching a sermon for World Hunger Sunday, pastor Mike Foster divided the congregation into three groups and played the Poverty Bean Game, raising $30,000 for the World Hunger Fund 11212012
