  7. Payment Options Paying by Direct Debit not only gives you peace of mind that your phone bill has been paid, but can save you £12 a year*. You can either benefit from this saving directly or BT give the option of donating this £12 (£1 a month) saving to Child Line. BT offer two different options to making setting up your automatic payment as convenient as possible. • Monthly Payment Plan • Whole Bill Direct Debit

  8. Monthly Payment Plan We base your monthly payments from an average of your past bills. We add up a selection of your latest bills (normally over the past 12 months) and divide by the number of months to get your average monthly payment. To set up a Monthly Payment Plan you will need to: • Ensure that any outstanding bill is paid. You can do this online by Debit Card, (payment must be received within 5 days of joining Monthly Payment Plan or the lower line rental will not apply for 10 months). • Have to hand your BT account number (shown at the top of your bill e.g. EA12345678) • Have to hand your bank details (Found on your cheque book or debit card). • You must be acting on sole authority to make payments from the bank account (to be able to sign cheques without a second signatory). • You must also be acting on your own behalf as the person whose bank account will be debited.

  9. Whole Bill Direct Debit Your whole bill will be paid automatically in full. We will continue to send you a bill 14 days before we take a payment for your information. You don't need to do anything when you receive this bill, as payment will be taken automatically from your bank or building society account. To set up a Whole bill direct debit you will need to: • Have to hand your BT account number (shown at the top of your bill e.g. EA12345678) • Have to hand your bank details (Found on your cheque book or debit card). • You must be acting on sole authority to make payments from the bank account (to be able to sign cheques without a second signatory.) • You must also be acting on your own behalf as the person whose bank account will be debited.

  10. BT Online The BT Online (BTO) service allows the customer to access and keep track of their BT account through the website www.bt.com/btonline. Customers can access their BT bill on line while keeping their paper bill.  BT Online is available to all residential customers who have a current email address. Key Selling Points • View their BT bill on line – sort by cost, calls, names, or numbers. • View unbilled call usage. • Change Friends & Family numbers. • Still receive a paper copy of their BT bill. • Convenient access to BT services such as Directory Enquiries. • Exclusive offers and future enhancements that will only be available to BTO customers.

Free standard installation and free SKY Sports for three months when a BT customer subscribes to a SKY World package (£38.00-£40.00 per month until 01 September 2004 and then £39.00 - £41.00).  This will result in a saving £6.00 per month on the top package price. BT Mobility [Mobile Services] BT Mobile is the new mobile product from BT, which is especially attractive to families.  It is exclusive to BT customers, and allows them to make quick calls home at no extra charge from their mobile.  Customers can have up to six handsets on one account, giving each additional user reduced line rental.   17. Midband BT Midband provides fast Internet access in areas where ADSL is unavailable. BT Midband provides direct access to the Internet without the need for an Internet Service Provider. It allows speeds of up to 128 kbps and is provided over a Home Highway line. BT Midband is available with all the existing Home Highway features. This means the customer can make/receive voice calls when connected to the Internet.  It is not possible to make two simultaneous telephone calls while connected to the Internet.
