  5. Project Outcomes “IM3I is an intelligent and adaptable repository software” Intelligent = ability to derive semantic descriptions from media assets Adaptable = authoring capabilities of the platform that enables users to define and publish repositories of media artefacts

  6. Project Outcomes Platform capable of importing, ingesting, analysing, harmonizingandformatting multimedia-materials Specialist tools targeted at annotating, searchingandretrieving media materials Authoring platform capable of publishing workflow and media-interaction to end-users

  7. Outcomes: Platform (WP3) SOA-based Architecture capable of importing, ingesting, analysing, harmonizingandformatting multimedia-materials

  8. Outcomes: Specialist Tools (WP4 & 5) Make automatic annotation usable for practical use Make video handling easy and transparent Allow specialist tools for annotation and specialized searching

  9. Outcomes: Authoring Platform: WP5 Allow easy reproduction of existing collections (import) Allow easy extension of repository functionalities (modeling) Allow interaction with repositories according to workflow

Summary of Project Activities • Project began on 01 November 2008 • Project lasted 24 months • 11 project meetings • 19 teleconferences • Project website established www.im3i.eu • User Requirements Study performed • Development of set of tools to analyse, search, retrieve and author multimedia artefacts

Summary of Project Activities • Use cases scenarios developed • 2 Evaluation workshops with users from archives and media industry • Take-up activities with research stakeholders, commercial organisations and potential content clients • 26 events attended • 12 papers published • Focus group meeting in Brussels • Flyers, brochures, video • Establishment of an exploitation plan
