  4. Strategic Plan What is a Strategic Plan? Strategic planning is an organization’s process of defining its direction, and making decisions on allocating its resources to pursue this direction. A Strategic Plan is a document that articulates where an organization is going over the next 5 years through long term goals. Key Components: Mission, Vision, Beliefs, Goals & Strategies How is this different than our District Improvement Plan? Our district improvement plan is an annual plan, that aligns with the Strategic Plan, and provides our district with more specific short term goals that are evaluated from year to year.

  7. Strategic Plan Goals Goal 1: As a result of a rigorous K-12 program all students will graduate from high school prepared to be college and career ready. Goal 2: All students will meet or exceed academic expectations. Goal 3: All students will attend school in a safe, healthy, and supportive environment. Goal 4: All stakeholders will share the responsibility of preparing students to be lifelong learners and contributing members of the community. Goal 5: School district processes and procedures will support the local school improvement efforts.

  8. Strategic Plan Feedback • Step 1: • Individually review the Strategic Plan Goal and Action Steps. • Step 2: • Facilitator asks each person to share a warm comment about their Goal. Each person has the opportunity to share. – 2 rounds • Facilitator asks each person to share a cool comment about their Goal. Each person has the opportunity to share. – 2 rounds • Facilitator takes notes and answers questions the group may have. • Step 3: • Group representative shares feedback with whole group. • Step 4: • Feedback is taken back to District Team as they continue to work on the Strategic Plan Draft.

  9. Next Steps • Continue to analyze our current state through data collection. • Collaborate to revise and update strategies that will address our needs. • Communicate plan and seek feedback from all stakeholder groups.
