Silent Melodrama

  • You will be shooting you own silent film. For this film, it will be a melodrama, like many of D.W Griffith’s works.

  • It will be a 10-15 minute film.

  • The only sound you will be allowed will be music (no lyrics).

  • You can and will be using text cards to give your characters speech, and help the film story move along.

  • It must view as a melodrama, farcical and comedy elements should be kept to a extremely bare minimum.

  • The final product will be in black and white, I will show you how.
