Is It Easy to Be King?

..

2

Do you want to be a King? Do what you want to be the centre of every crowd? Do you want everyone to be looking at you? All the time, every day? The King is never alone. Someone is always watching him sometimes one of his detectives, sometimes a thousand people in the street. He must be careful what he does, because he can do nothing in secret. What the King says today, the world hears tomorrow. It isnt a job that stops at 5 oclock. Theres no holiday from being a King. But a king is a human too. And he can be happy or unhappy.

What do you think being a monarch is like?

What makes a King (Queen) happy or unhappy?

Do you think all British monarchs were happy people?
