  2. Introduction In my opinion I feel that all Americans should know about the civil rights movement because this is a memorable event that made a change in the United States. The civil rights movement became a big part of growth in our society taking 200 years for the government to actually uphold the phrase “All Men Are Created Equal “

  3. Learning about the civil rights not only opened up a new chapter of history but search of democracy and the growth of equality of America. While struggling there was always lessons to be learned and all bumps in the road were achieved. Not only should you be informed about the civil rights but appreciated for what was done Now you will have a clearer picture of the struggle and what people went through to get to the stage in matter that is now.

  4. Background Information The Civil Rights Movement was a inspirational event. Not only was it a Nonviolence Act it was event that would change the United States. King was a great leader and did the right thing in my opinion of the non violence . There were many acts that had no violence at all like the Sit-Ins , The Montgomery Bus Boycott, The March on Washington .

  5. The Sit-In Act was a civil act of disobedience. College students and others would sit in barber shops, restaurants, etc,. And sit there all day and night no matter what happens . Sometimes the white men and women would get disrespected hit spit on trashed thrown on them etc and they sat there and took all of the cruelty just for equal rights. Doing whatever they had to do just for equal rights and for everyone to be treated equally they continued to do the sit-ins.

  6. The Montgomery Bus Boycott Was boycott due to Rosa Parks act of Civil Disobedience . The boycott lasted nearly 13 months. The March On Washington was a very big deal because when that march with over 2,000 people walking with Dr.King where King had his most famous I Have A Dream Speech.

  7. Who's Rosa Parks? Rosa Parks was a very important person in the civil rights movement. Not only did she march with Martin Luther King Jr during the Montgomery Bus Boycott, Her story is what sparked the Civil Rights Movement. Parks refused to give up her seat in the front of the bus which is always reserved for white folk she wouldn’t give up her seat to a white man. The cause of her not giving up her seat meant she was arrested for Civil Disobedience. After this incident many African American churches met and at the time King was a young minister then it was finally decided that there would be a Bus Boycott aka Montgomery Bus Boycott which ended up lasting nearly 13 months.
