  2. Expectations at Farley • All students are taught to respect each other, all adults, and equipment • All of the staff at Farley work to teach students safe and proper use of technology. We model daily the proper use and have a unified approach so that our students always know what is expected of them. • Students will treat all equipment with respect • Never leave computer unattended ( it is picked up and brought to Ms. Meyers) • All students should use their computer bag and have their power cord with them. • Students are responsible to make sure their computer is charged, clean and ready for classroom instruction • Students will not eat or drink at computer

Students Not Taking Proper care of Computer • Meeting with Ms. Meyers • Left computer unattended • Damage to computer (broken screens) • Loading unauthorized programs, music , or games to computer • Deleting IE9 or changing profile configuration to a point they are unable to use for instruction.( having to delete profile or send in to re-image) • Adding or making changes to another students computer • Hacking (creating teacher accounts) Students who continually fail to take care of their computers will see Mr. Porter, parents will be called and Mr. Porter may place them on a “Computer Responsibility Contract”

Repair Procedures • Take to Ms. Meyers for evaluation and troubleshooting with in 30 days of damage • For repairs student will fill out “Student Computer Incident Report” • Ms. Meyers will create a work order with insurance form attached • Students are responsible for backing up all documents • Pick up for repair • Students will have use of a loaner until their computer is returned • Mr. Porter and Ms. Meyers determine if loaner computer may go home • All computers are checked out through Booktracks • If loaner is abused student will receive a book • Student will return loaner and receive repaired computer

  6. Success • Farley had the lowest rate of Insurance claims for Huntsville City Schools • 100% turn in rate with no charges • Farley students are responsible and prepared for their learning experience
