  1. How to Eliminate Bad Breathe Halitosis, more commonly known as bad breath, is an embarrassing hygiene issue that no one wants to have, but most of us get it now and then. To find out how to eliminate bad breath, one must understand what causes it. Food often gets stuck between the teeth and along the gum line, which then becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. When this area is not properly cleaned, bad breath occurs. Another common cause is eating food that has a strong odor, such as garlic, onions, and alcohol. These types of food create a bad odor in your mouth, and some of them are absorbed by your body and can enter the bloodstream, which may cause you to breathe the odors through your lungs. However, bad

  2. breath can be a sign of a serious illness, such as diabetes, liver failure or kidney disease. Let us now look at the different ways that will help you bid goodbye to bad breath. 1.Brush Twice a Day- Brush your teeth at least two to three minutes twice a day to remove plaque and food debris. It is necessary to brush your teeth before going to sleep. This should effectively remove the food and bacteria stuck between your teeth and gum line. You might try an additional round of brushing with baking soda to reduce the acidic effect in the mouth and make it difficult for the bacteria that cause bad breath to grow. 2.Floss Daily- Flossing will help in removing food debris from in between the teeth that a toothbrush can't reach. If the food debris is not removed, the bacteria will start to feed on it, eventually causing bad breath. For the optimum results, brush your teeth at least twice a day and floss at least once a day. 3.Clean Your Tongue- Only brushing and flossing are not usually enough. The tongue is also a breeding arena for bacteria, dead cells, and food debris. Many toothbrushes these days comes with a tongue cleaner at the back hence you can use it to clean your tongue just after you brush. 4.Keep Yourself Hydrate- A dry mouth happens when you sleep and wake up with "morning breath." But it can occur at any time. Saliva is necessary as it helps to clean your mouth and wash away food particles. Drink a lot of water throughout the day which helps in saliva production as it will help keep odor under control because it helps wash away food particles and bacteria, the primary cause of bad breath.

  3. 5.Watch What You Eat!- It is easy to avoid eating foods that can be the main culprits of bad breath, but you must also be aware of your diet. High protein and low carbs diet may be good for your health but they can cause a foul odor in your mouth. Not eating enough carbs will trigger your body to burn fat instead of sugar and, therefore, cause bad breath. 6.Visit Your Dentist- If you have already practiced good oral care habits but still have bad breath problem, it might be time to see your dentist in order to check if your breath is being caused by a more serious issue.
