  3. Design Review . . dawn quinn • Site reviewed – http://www.kidzonline.org/LessonPlans/ Design review criteria – • Point 1 - The lines in the page are constrained so that they never exceed 8 to 15 words per line. • Point 7 - Each page has a meaningful title in the Title Bar.

  4. Design Review con’t . . . • Point 14 - Graphics have an ALT Text tag to make them accessible to the visually impaired. • Point 15 - For data tables, identify row and column headers.

  6. SME con’t . . . . . • Formative Evaluation for SMEs should focus on: • Content—Good Exercises and Materials • Learner Point of View—Hit Target Audience • Accuracy—Very Accurate • Fluidity—Video was great, but need high speed internet • As designers, we not obligated to use their suggestions.

Ongoing EvaluationPresented by Yvette Perez • Assessment:Using Instructional Materials students will assess the instructional delivery of the Kidz Online Lesson Plan (PowerPoint) • Two one-to-one learners (one high and one average achiever) will complete and provide feedback utilizing the following: • Hands-on activity • Questionnaire • Online resources included within the lesson • Peer-review:One-to-one formative evaluation using two different learners; one high and one average achiever evaluate the Kidz Online PowerPoint Presentation • Using a questionnaire, students will rate the presentation based on the following: • Hyperlinks • Fonts • Use of graphics • Ease of navigation • Overall presentation • Is the instructor’s goal for the presentation evident? • Is the presentation understandable or are you confused?

Ongoing Evaluation(cont’d) PowerPoint Presentation Instructional Materials Evaluation Form • Outcomes:Review of the one-to-one small group evaluation (Delivery System) • This delivery system is feasible for students who are familiar with PowerPoint and have optimal keyboarding skills. The system is also justifiable for use by novice PowerPoint users/learners because of the instructional materials provided and it’s effectiveness with regard to the learner’s ability to clearly understand the lesson • Modification:Use of a rubric assessment • Ongoing evaluation will allow the instructor to modify (if needed) the lesson based upon reviewers’ responses and or suggestions for improvement.
