  1. What’s happening in Room 201? Practice PracticePractice The students are required to sort the words by the pattern/rule they follow. They will need to spell the words correctly and put them in the correct sort. December 10-14 The Grinch is coming to first grade on December 18! We will be having a Grinch day in first grade. The students should wear green and they may wear a Santa hat if they have one. Our Christmas play is on December 20 at 12:15, with the holiday party immediately following. If you have not gone to www.lisd.net for your background check, this would be a good time to do so. The background checks are good for 3 years. This week we will be working on the digraphs sh, wh, ph , endings –ed, -ing, and –s, subjects and verbs, cause and effect, contractions and writing to inform. December 13: PTA Board Meeting 10:30 December 14: Wear OSE spirit wear; PTA Movie Night December 18: Grinch Day! December 20: Holiday Party and Play December 21: Early Release • This weeks Math focus: • Subtracting one number from another, with initial totals up to 12 • Developing strategies for solving addition and subtraction problems We are investigating force and motion.
