  2. What is a conservation body? • Conservation is……. the maintenance of the worlds natural resources. This means both organisms (living things) and their environment. • It is important because….we need to keep all the organisms and environment for generations (years) to come. If things become extinct we cannot get them back

  3. Conservation bodies in this country • RSPB Royal society for the protection of birds • RSPCA Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals • WWF The World Wildlife Fund • The Wildlife Trust • DEFRA Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs • The Environment Agency

  4. Further research…. • For one of these organisations carry out an brief investigation into a successful project they have carried out. • Was your conservation body funded by charity or government. Which do you think is appropriate?
