  1. The Disc-Jet connection in LINERS:(and Seyferts..)AMI and X-ray monitoring of M81* Ian McHardy, University of Southampton Guy Pooley, MRAO

  2. Do LINERS show same strong radio/X-ray correlation as hard state X-ray Binaries?

  3. Previous observations: LINER NGC7213 Bell et al, 2011 3800 4200 4600 5000 MJD-50000 S ~ n + a

  4. NGC7213 (Bell et al)

  5. M81 X-ray and 15GHz lightcurves (Richards, Readhead) Swift 0.5-10 keV

  6. M81 X-ray and 15GHz Cross-correlation

  7. M81 X-ray and 15GHz lightcurves

  8. M81 X-ray and 15GHz FR ~FX0.7 observed Mass-scaling following Falcke jet model From Falcke et al 2004 cf Merloni et al 2003

  9. Disc-Jet Connection in `radio quiet’ AGN: Seyferts NGC4051: VLA A and B array 8GHz observations Jones et al, 2011 Peak flux ~0.5mJy in A-array

  10. NGC4051 VLA A array observations

  11. NGC4051 Radio vs. X-ray - all arrays No strong evidence for large amplitude radio variability

  12. Seyfert NGC5548 – brighter in radio than NGC4051 Wrobel 2000 - no parallel X-ray observations

  13. Disc-Jet connection in Seyferts AMI 15GHz map of NGC5548 Core easily distinguished

  14. Conclusion AMI has an excellent capability for monitoring the radio cores in LINERS and `radio-quiet’ AGN. Strong radio/X-ray correlation seen in LINER M81* greatly strengthening the link to hard state XRBs. Radio/X-ray link is unknown in Seyferts (radio quiet AGN) but could easily be studied with AMI.
