Haenicke Institute for Global Education (HIGE) • Partnership agreements • Global and International Studies (GIS) program • International student admissions and services • Logistics for study abroad programs • Support international interests of faculty • Provides travel funds for faculty - IEFDF • Center for English Language & Culture for International Students (CELCIS)

  4. International Education Council • Faculty body • Representatives from all colleges • Acted as the ACE Lab team • Internationalization in the curriculum • Work with college International committees

  5. Data Gathering • Faculty & staff survey – Spring 2009 – 490 responses • Student survey – Fall 2009 – 1847 responses • Numbers and narratives

Recommendations • Encourage the University to take a stronger stand on global education and engagement • Encourage internationalization across the curriculum • Increase education and study abroad participation • Increase international student population • Formalize the status and structure of the Global & International Studies Program
