POST-MASTER’S CERT OVERVIEW _______________________________ Candidates have already earned a Master’s Degree in an education related field Candidates have taught a minimum of one year in K-12 schools 8 Courses / 24 Credit Hours Summer 1 or Spring Semester Admission Completion Time: 3 Semesters for Summer 1 Admission or 4 Semesters for Spring Admission ALL courses offered at Round Rock Higher Ed Center AND San Marcos Main Campus Builds on educational practice and research expertise developed in candidate’s master’s degree program

POST-MASTER’S REQUIRED COURSES ___________________________________ Understanding Self Understanding Environments Supervision of Instruction Continuous School Improvement OR Campus Leadership School Law Integrative Seminar Internship in Educational Leadership 1 Internship in Educational Leadership 2

POST-MASTER’S ADMISSIONS ________________________________ Visit WWW.GRADCOLLEGE.TXSTATE.EDU To Select Major in Application, look for NON-DEGREE heading, select TEACHER CERTIFICATION and then select 211.00 EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP – PRINCIPAL Application Deadline for Summer Admission: MAY 1 Application Deadline for Spring Admission: DECEMBER 1 Documents Needed: GRAD COLLEGE APPLICATION OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS TEACHING CERTIFICATE COPY TEACHING RECORD COPY (1 YEAR or MORE of K-12 TEACHING) GRE is NOT required Prior Ed Leadership courses from Texas State or another University may be applied to this certification

FLEXIBLE COHORTS ___________________________ Cohort Groups at RRHEC and San Marcos Community of Learners & Professional Practitioners Develop Lasting Collaborative Networks Anticipates 2 Courses per Semester, Including Summer I & 2 Individual Students Can Opt to Vary Cohort Schedule EX: A student who wishes to take only 1 course per semester, or take off a Summer Session Should Examine Course Matrix (on Web) to Determine Alternate Multi-Term Schedule
