IPs Used for the trail The day when the entire BTCL traffic was diverted through Caching After receiving complaints on the IP NAT, the static IP range was removed from going through Caching The day the first set of IP ranges were diverted through Caching Day since when there was no change done on the network and caching system Traffic migration was done in stages starting from few IPs to various different IP Ranges

  30. Cache Performance There were 2 reasons for the drop in performance, one due to disabling some sites from getting cached and second due to the non-availability of disk space. Due to limited disk space, we had to cleanup the cache which reduced the cache hit percentage to certain days and it took few days to recover. 150% improvement compared to 1st day.

This can be increased to more than 20% if the limitations with respect to Hardware is addressed and more number of subscribers access through the system.

Cache Performance • 225%growth in number of transactions served from cache • Other two sites grew just over 19% overall • Due to disk space availability the cache performance was slightly less than what was expected. We have optimized the cache performance further to provide even better performance.
