  5. OMP Objectives • Encourage minority, disadvantaged and women-owned firms • Task: Minority Contractor Capacity Evaluation • Compile information from other agencies • Matrix of MBE/DBE/WBE contractors in Chicago • Assess workload in future

OMP Objectives • Reach contractor community, serve technical and business needs, encourage their growth and self-improvement • Task: Contractor outreach • Develop communication, teaming opportunities and tech transfer delivery methods • Newsletter, symposia • Inform and educate regarding City Procurement Rules and Policies

  7. OMP Objectives • Educate new generation of engineers for design and construction • Task: Educational Program • Establish OMP internship program for high school and college students, aimed at underserved communities • Support field trip program to link students to OMP

  8. Success through partnership • Tasks require data held by City • Tasks depend on relationship between City and contractor community • Tasks require support from PMO, CM and contractor firms • Success requires input from OMP Advisory Board to refine agenda, and maintain effective priorities
