  5. Commanders intent To coordinate and monitor the implementation of the ”Plan of action for Veterans, and lead the process of activation of Veterans as a considerable resource for the society. Lead, coordinate, and create synergies, as well supporting existing initiatives. Cost effective implementation within the Armed Forces, with volunteer organizations and relevant civilian institutions. End state; All initiatives implemented according to plan. Activation and visibility achieved.

Leadership Implement initiative, follow-up (DOD plan of action) Guidance of Armed Forces veteran chain Authority to resolve and implement initiative and supportmeasures CHOD’s veteran advisor CHOD’s spokesman on all veteran issues React ”One door” for all veterans Responce cell (open 0730-2000 on weekdays) Authority to activate available resources in other sections (medical services, chaplains and others) Aknowledge veterans: Career opportunities Medals, monuments Memorial Day, Veterans Day Guide and instruct Veterans and their next of kin Koordinate training of e.g: Next of kin contactperson in case of injury or death in operations Communicate Market veterans as a valuable resorce Information on veteran issues in the Armed Forces an to society Create confidence Liaison Co-ordinate with other agencies and government departments Competence training Create synergy and prepare combined actions Monitor Documentation Evaluation Experience transfer Activate Cooperation with Volunteer veteran organizations Involvement in local communities and working life Project- management and support Functions
