  3. What is Depression? • Teen depression is a serious medical problem that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest in activities. It affects how the teens think, feels and behaves, and it can cause emotional, functional and physical problems.

  4. Causes • Most teens feel unhappy all the time. They’re many reasons why teens become depressed. For example, teens sometimes tend to feel worthless, or not valuable for words that others say without first thinking about it. Depression can also be developed by stress.

  5. Symptoms • When teens start to develop Depression they tend to have a noticeable change in their behavior, they start acting more rebellious, for they start thinking that everything is against them.

  6. Therapy's • I believe that the best therapy for a depressed person is to talk to other people, to let everything that’s inside them go out, to just scream why they’re depressed and get help from it, get guiding on how to go on with their life.

  7. Can teen depression run in families? • Recently some studies have shown that Depression can run in families, this is because maybe in the past they’re siblings might have been passing through depression also.

  8. What should the parents do? • Parents should always consult a doctor for antidepressants, and take their children to a philologist or counselor so they can have someone to talk to. Also, you should always be there for them, so they can have this feeling that someone is there to support them.

  9. What does Depression cause? • Depression can seriously harm your way of thinking and feelings. Your brain starts to imagine things that are not true, you can see yourself crying in the middle of the night because you think you’re worthless and alone, but you have a ton of people around you, supporting you. Feelings get damaged by thinking that, you start having a really self-stem and that’s not right, everybody should know they’re worth more that what they think.

  10. What can help you go through depression and get out of it? • One of the things that can help you go out of depression might be talking, realtionating with somebody that went through what you’re going through, so you can just let it all out. Also, you should hang with happy people, either with your family or friends, people who make you have a good time so you can forget a little of what you’re passing right now.

  11. Where can depression lead you to? • Depression can lead you to the worst. Suicide is what a lot of people tend to attempt or do when there are going through depression, they think they shouldn’t be here anymore, that is what being depressed make you think, they cry so much, they feel so desperate on looking for an easy way out, so they rather die.

  12. Most common reasons why depression appears in a persons life. • Depression can be caused by bullying, a break up, problems in school or with your family, that make you feel culpability in yourself, or just sad about what’s happening to you in life, but remember, there’s always a way out of every problem.
