  2. Oceans and Climate Oceans are like Earth’s thermostat, keeping the planet comfortable for life. The currents of ocean water move and mix waters of different temperatures around the globe. This movement of water affects climates and weather patterns everywhere. The heat capacity Heat capacity is a measure of how long it takes for a material to heat up or cool down. Heat capacity is special because it not only use to store but also can transport heat.

  3. The weather & climate h Weather: The condition of the atmosphere at a specific time. -It also can be described in terms of temperature, wind speed and direction, air pressure, and moisture (precipitation). Climate:Weather conditions. -The average temperature on Earth’s surface is about 15 degrees -Climates around the world can produce extremes sweltering heat or chilling cold. -Climate produce great differences in precipitation.

  4. How ocean affect weather Convection relates to Earth El Niño and La Niña El Niño=A good example of oceans, atmosphere, and weather interact. It causes the convection of the hot water and cold water. It has been responsible for changing patterns of rainfall. La Niña=Create cold water to the ocean surface. It does the opposite with El Niño. Oceans= Convection causes the ocean water start to convects. Warmth water pop up to the surface of the ocean. When it reaches into the colder area, cold air will makes the warmth water in to colder water, then it moves down into the bottom of the ocean. Atmosphere=Hot air rises up into the atmosphere, when it becomes colder, it will moves downward or evaporates into the ocean or water. Weather=Water from lakes, rivers, ocean evaporates into a cloud. When it can’t afford more moisture, then it will rain.

  5. The coast weather Places where were in the coast will get more rain or snow. places where were far from the coast will get less rain or snow. The coast area will get more rain than the one far from the coast because the ocean’s moist air rises and cools when it get into clouds. The clouds will get more and more moist in it until it becomes heavier, then the rain will starts to falling down.

  6. Water cycle=moisture reaches the atmosphere through water evaporation from into the oceans, and the water eventually returns into ocean as the precipitation.

  7. Key words -Climate=Typical weather conditions. -Convection=The process of heat transfer through the flow of a heated substance such as air or water. -Heat capacity=Measure of how long it takes a material to heat up. -Weather=The condition of the atmosphere at a given time. -El Niño=A good example of oceans, atmosphere, and weather interact. -La Niña=Create cold water to the ocean surface.
