  3. Elements: Beryllium, Magnesium, Calcium, Strontium, Barium, Radium This group contains metals There are two electrons in the outer level They are very reactive, but less reactive than Alkali Metals Group 2: Alkaline-Earth metals

  4. This group contains metals There can be one or two electrons in the outer level They are less reactive than Alkaline-Earth metals Groups 3- 12: Transition Metals

  5. Elements: Boron, Aluminum, Gallium, Indium, Thallium, Ununtrium This group contains one metalloid and five metals They are reactive Group 13: Boron Group

  6. Elements: Carbon, Silicon, Germanium, Tin, Lead, Ununquadium This group contains one non-metal, two metalloids, and three metals There are four electrons in the outer level The reactivity varies among the elemets Group 14: Carbon Group

  7. Elements: Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Arsenic, Antimony, Bismuth, Ununpentium This group contains two non-metals, two metalloids, and two metals The reactivity varies among the elements There are five electrons in the outer level Group 15: Nitrogen group

  8. Elements: Oxygen, Sulfur, Selenium, Tellurium, Polonium This group contains three non-metals, one metalloid, and one metal There are six electrons on the outer level They are reactive Group 16: oxygen group

  9. Elements: Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine, Iodine, Astatine This group contains non-metals There are seven electrons in the outer level They are very reactive Group 17: Halogens

  10. Elements: Helium, Neon, Argon, Krypton, Xenon, Radon This group contains non-metals There are eight electrons in the outer level (except for Helium, which has two) They are unreactive Group 18: Noble Gases

  11. Element: Hydrogen This element is reactive There is one electron in the outer level Hydrogen
