  4. Otolith Preparation • Small otoliths (Buckmeier et al. 2002) • Burn • Mount to a slide • Sand to nucleus • Large otoliths • Grind with dremel • Polish with sandpaper • Burn

  6. Mount to a Slide

  7. Sand to Nucleus

  8. Large Otoliths – Grind with Dremel

  9. Polish and Burn

  10. Immerse in Water

  11. View – Illuminate with Fiber Optic

  12. Storage
