  7. What Works • Metric? • In low-income weatherization, the metric is Savings-to-Investment Ratio (SIR) SIR = • Means how many times the measure will pay for itself

  8. What Works • Air sealing • Insulation • Upgrades to high-efficiency space conditioning systems • Sealing ducts outside of conditioned space • Lighting • Refrigeration

  9. What Works • Primary goal should be to have the thermal and pressure boundary aligned • Air seal first • Then insulate • Air leakage is like having the windows open
