Faculty In Brief • Our Mission: • To provide academic programs in applied engineering at the intermediate university degree (Diploma), undergraduate (Bachelor Degree), and post graduate level (Master Degree) to meet the local and regional market needs. • Our Vision: • We aspire to link applied learning, scientific research, and community services to major current and future issues to render services to Jordan in the 21st century. • Our Goals: • 1. To change the public negative attitude toward applied learning and to attract distinguished and gifted students to this type of learning. • 2. To create learning environment based on practical training and to initiate an effective partnership with local industries. • 3. To enhance and strengthen quality curricula with an applied nature to be responsive to the learning needs of the students and to their professional careers. • 4. To effectively utilize technology in the classrooms, libraries, workshops, and laboratories. • 5. To improve competency of faculty and staff members and to promote effective applied research.

Faculty In Brief 1975:Established under the name Amman Polytechnicand supervised by the Ministry of Education. 1978:Inauguration ceremony was under thepatronageof His Majestythe late King Hussein Bin Talal. • The Intermediate University Degree, Diploma (2 years). • The Advanced Diploma Degree (3 years).

Princess Janah Bint Ghazi Cultural Center • The center was inaugurated on the 11th of July 2005 under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi Bin Mohammad • The center embraces: • The Hashemite Hall • Conference and Seminar Hall • VIP’s Hall • Reception Hall • Thecentercarries out the Faculty policies and strategies stemming from the University’s policies and strategies .The policies long for erecting and administrating bridges of co-operation and activating them in all the scientific, cultural and social fields with formal organizations, deputation and the local society in all aspects.

Future Expectations • To complete the building of the Centers for Excellence with a total area of 5000 square meter. • To launch graduate programs at the Master Degree level in management and rehabilitation of civil constructions. • To construct sport facilities that meet the student's needs. • To proceed to innovate a specialized unit in the study and research of oil shale. • To introduce novel specializations at both the bachelor level and the diploma level to keep the pace with Arab and local market needs. • To increase the number of teaching halls and laboratories that are equipped with various scientific and educational aids .
