  3. Background “Even though our economy may be first rate, if people’s behavior is third rate, we are not keeping up with the image we have created as a clean and green Singapore. We therefore have to adopt better public health habits to keep pace with the growth of our economy.” - Deputy Prime Minister, Wong Kan Seng@ Central CDC Public Health Carnival during CGW 06 celebrations • Environment Champions (ECs) can be further empowered to reinforce anti-littering message among their peers in school => Become LFAs

  4. Role of LFAs • Present a talk on anti-littering. • Design and act out a skit on anti-littering. • Lead the school’s anti-littering activities. • Monitor the cleanliness of the schools’ surroundings and report incidences of littering.

  5. LFA Programme : Timeline 27 Jan, 3 Feb NEA briefing to all EEAs on LFA. EC Acting & Skit Development Workshop. 12 - 16 Mar LFA Launch@ Nanyang Girls’ High 19/20 Apr Schools can join LFA Programme.

LFA Report • Reporting Fields : • Date of Talk, Skit & School-Wide Activity.* • LFA’s involvement in School-Wide Activity. • Photos of LFA’s Talk, Skit & School Activity. * e.g.monitoring classrooms in Cleanest Class Competition, organizing ‘Litter-Free Day,’ composing Litter-Free Pledge/Rap/Short Video, etc. • We will inform schools when Final LFA Report is ready for use.
