  4. Infrared Sensor Uses: Navigation, Line Following Issues: Loses line on turns. Robot may be traveling too fast. Light interference. Fixes: Speed reduced Light blocking

  5. Button Switch Use: Collision Detection Stockermajigger stops, backs up, waits for 3sec, and continues forward. Main use for detecting other robots in warehouse

  6. Magnetic Field Sensor Do I have the box? Check magnet Yes/No Wait Timeout Determines whether or not the robot has the box (magnet in robot attracts magnet in box) Problems: Weak magnetic fields give low signals. Weak changes in weak magnetic fields give weak sensor outputs. Depends heavily on surface area of magnet. Hot glue = Bad Same poles repel, boxes fall over… Solution(s)? Rotate magnets for field manipulation. Ignore data, wait for timeout.
