  2. What is a Generators and how it works? Generators: A generator turns mechanical energy into electrical power to help run devices. Generators create energy that is used for a variety of purposes, including mains power supply, AC mains (alternating current) power supply, and more. Mechanical energy can come from a variety of sources, including renewable like hydropower and wind turbines. They can also be generated using diesel generators. Generator can run on natural gas or other liquid fuels. Diesel generators are self-contained and hence may operate without being linked to a power grid. As a result, they’re a fantastic alternative for backup power in the case of a grid outage. A diesel generator set (genset) is the common name for a combination of a diesel engine, generator, and other auxiliary components. Control systems, jacket water heaters, and circuit breakers are examples of supplementary equipment that may be included in a genset.
