Great American Cities ProgramQuick Facts: • 3-4 trips per Academic year, planned during ASU breaks and holidays • Trips range between 4-6 days • 15-20 students per trip, 1-2 Barrett staff • Need-based scholarships are available • Fees cover: airfare, lodging, transportation, and planned group activities. • Barrett staff handle ALL logistics and travel with the group

Day 1 Depart AZ, arrive DC (morning) Check in to hostel Bike the Sites: Lincoln, Jefferson, FDR, Washington, Vietnam, WWII, Group Dinner Day 2 Tour of Arlington National Cemetery Visit the Holocaust Museum Explore various Smithsonian Museums Day 3 Tour the Capitol Building and visit with Arizona Representative Lunch with Barrett Alumni Explore Georgetown Day 4 Guided Tour of the Newseum Depart for Phoenix (evening)

  7. 2011-12 Travel Schedule SAN FRANCISCO November 10th - November 13th Veteran’s Day Break Visit Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz Tour, Dessert at Ghirardelli Square, Double Decker City Bus Tour, ride a Historic Trolley Cable Car, check out the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the California Academy of Sciences; check out Haight and Ashbury; eat at China Town and Little Italy; and bike the San Francisco Bay Bridge! NEW YORK and PHILADELPHIA March 18th-24th Spring Break 3 and ½ days in NYC; 3 and ½ days in Philly Three days in NYC: visit statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, enjoy a city Bus tour, take in a Broadway show, stroll through Central Park, check out the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and see the view from the Empire State Building. Take the train to Philly and enjoy a city bus tour, the Constitution Walking tour, see the Liberty bell, Independence hall, the Franklin Institute, the Philadelphia Zoo, and the National Constitution Center! CHICAGO May 4th-9th After Finals Enjoy the Chicago Architecture River tour; visit Shedd Aquarium, Millennium Park, Lincoln Park Zoo, the Field Museum, Skydeck Chicago, Adler Planetarium, Art Institute of Chicago, John Hancock Observatory, Museum of Science and Industry, taste Deep Dish Pizza, and watch the Cubs at Wrigley Park!
