  1. Dexilant Medicine: A Quick Guide Dexlansoprazole belongs to the medicine family called proton pump inhibitors. It is used for the treatment of erosive esophagitis and also to treat heartburn associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease. Dexilant 30mg is suggested by the doctors many other similar conditions. Use of Dexilant You can use it for the treatment of erosive esophagitis, and the usual dose is 60mg once daily for up-to eight weeks. To maintain the healing, you should be taking 30 mg once daily for up to six months. If you have heart burns that are associated with GERD, the dose is 30mg once in daily up-to four weeks. The medicine can be taken with or without food. It should be swallowed with lots of water. You must consume lots of water. If you are not comfortable taking capsules, you can sprinkle the contents of the capsule on one tablespoon and then swallowed immediately. Bear in mind to not chew the granules. The dosage of the medicine varies according to the needs of the person, such as body weight and other medical conditions.
