  1. SIP WG Meeting 09:00-10:30AM February 11th, 2010 Sydney, Australia Chair: Quincy Wu (solomon@voip.edu.tw) http://Download.ipv6.club.tw/APAN/

  2. To Join a Working Group • We share information, experience, • Even if it is a experience which tells us what does not work • We consolidate resources • Manpower, trouble-shooting mechanism • Hopefully this can help us to get more things done efficiently

  3. Agenda • Member Status Update (45min) • Pakistan (remote) • Malaysia (remote) • Australia • Darren (ANU) • Peter (UTS) • Leon (AARNet) • Taiwan • Louk Chi (TANet) • Vietnam • Hung (VinaREN) • Hong Kong • Che-Hoo Cheng (CUHK) • Status of APAN SIP Peering (10min) • SIP Tutorial in the 30th APAN meeting (5min) • WG Chair Election (10min) • Discussion for further ENUM trial between members (10min) • Bani Lara (PH), "National ENUM Trial” • AOB (5min)

  4. Gift for SIP Tutorial in the 30th APAN Meeting • To promote SIP Peering between members and internationally, SIP-H323 WG has been running full-day tutorials to build SIP servers, at the APAN Meetings • 2004.7 Cairns • 2005.1 Bangkok • 2005.8 Taipei • 2006.1 Tokyo • As an incentive, in the 30th meeting in Hanoi, we plan to send a gift to every participant who attends the tutorial – an IPv6/IPv4 phone

  5. Cost of an IPv6 Phone • The list price of a Cisco IPv6 phone is approximately $600 USD. • Probably “50% off” as educational discount. • $300 USD is still expensive. • Some vendors are willing to provide an IPv6 phone at the cost of $100~150 USD. • Program Committee approved: • Extra charge for participants of the SIP Tutorial (probably $150 including tax and shipment) • Reaching possible sponsors “donate” 50 IPv6 phones to APAN for this event. • Vineren will help us to look for local speakers in Vietnam

  6. TODO • Form a task force • Prepare a call for participant as soon as possible • Announce it on APAN website with clear close-up date (Suggested: May 1st) • Exactly know how many people will attend. • Get the funding from DANTE or vendor sponsorship
