The name Pench has been derived from the River Pench flows north to south about 75 km on which its wildlife ( flora and fauna) sustain. It is home to the Royal Bengal Tigers, Jackal, peafowl, wild dod, wild boar, sloth bear, Indian leopard, fox, striped hyena, monkey, gaur, barking deer, four-horned antelope, Indian wolf and many more other species.
