  2. the goal of this subject is to give you the opportunity to use your English outside the regular English lessons you'll be encouraged to use English as much as possible you will learn a number of new words/phrases, which will help you improve your English (e.g. enrich your passive/active vocabulary) you'll get the opportunity to practice and/or improve your presentation skills Language of instruction - ENGLISH

  3. GROUP DIVISION for History in English (HIE) lessons you will be divided into two groups. Group1(non-CAE): Thu 5th + Fri 1st Group 2 (CAE): Thu 2nd + Fri 6th

  4. What are we going to learn about? There are 16topics, which are usually divided into 3-4 subtopics. selected topics that are not necessarily linked to each other (adv. and disadv.) period covered: the Fall of Rome (476) – French Revolution (1815) emphasis on the Anglo-Saxon world

  5. Course Requirements tests: approximately 4 BIG TESTS, covering 1 or more topics, smaller tests connected to individual chapters!!! presentation: a 10-15 min pres. on a given topic (ppt) reading: choose a book connected to one of the 16 topics and write about what you have learned from it, how it compares or ads to what we have learned and include your own ideas and comments (deadline: after Christmas/mid-June), A4, book you choose must be approved by the teacher activity in the lesson, personal participation, crosswords (incl. general mark at the end of each semester – how you contributed to the course in general)

  7. Presentations you will be required to have at least one „big“ oral presentation per year, plus a number of smaller ones you will start researching immediately after your topic has been assigned you will inform me about any problems that occur while you are working on your presentation!!! when not ready to present on the scheduled day – you'll apologize at least 2 days prior to your presentation!!!
