  15. Conditions and Rewards for Overcoming

  16. "He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son." (Rev 21:7)

  17. How to Overcome?! • Rev 12:10-11 10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

  18. Overcome by the Blood of the Lamb • The True over-comer is Christ • Christ already overcame for us: • On the cross He said about redemption, "It is finished" (Jn.19: 30) • (Rev 6:2) • We have to accept his victory in our life to overcome • We have to make a choice

  19. Overcome by the Blood of the Lamb • We have to make a choice • There were two trees in the Garden of Eden: Tree of Life and Tree of knowledge • Why two trees? • “… I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live” (Deut 30:19) • The first step in overcoming is to choose the Blood of the lamb.

  20. Overcome by the Word of Testimony • Faith – and witnessing to the Faith • Faith is overcoming • “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand” (Eph 6:13) • “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free…” (Gal 5:1) • “For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end” (Heb 3:14)

  21. Overcome by the Word of Testimony • We must witness our faith • “And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all” (Act 4:33) • “And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.” (1Jn 4:14-15)

  22. Overcome by the Word of Testimony • We must testify Christ through our actions and words: • “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matt 5:16) • “For ‘the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,’ as it is written.” (Rom 2:24) • The second step in overcoming is to testify Christ in our life – by faith and works.

  23. Overcome by not Loving life even to death • Works – even until death • Free membership to a gym… • Faith without work is dead: Jam 2:17-20: “Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead…” • Job - a great trial of his faith • His deeds: he repented in dust and ashes - while still in the trial

  24. Overcome by not Loving life even to death • Deeds even unto death: • Rom 8:35-39: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?… As it is written: ‘ For Your sake we are killed all day long;’ • The question is not “if we can overcome those tribulations” • The questions is “if we will allow those tribulation separate us from God”

  25. Overcome by not Loving life even to death • Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. (Rev 2:10) • And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. (Rev 2:13) • The final step in overcoming is to apply our faith

  26. He Who Overcomes… • Overcoming is a reality – it is possible • Christ already overcame on our behalf

  27. He Who Overcomes…

  28. He Who Overcomes… • Overcoming is a three-step process: • Accepting Christ • Holding unto the faith • Apply the faith by deeds even unto death

  29. "He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son." (Rev 21:7)
