  3. A few questions: • Who is this for? • Teachers who want to take on a leadership role within their building, area or district. • What can I do to move forward? • Leadership opportunities are available at each level of experience for teachers. • What if I just want to teach and not participate? • Proficient teaching is valued. Teachers that do not want to take on extra professional responsibility do not have to participate.

  4. Why was this created? • Many teachers want to know that they have opportunities for leadership, growth, challenge and variety throughout their careers. This is a process created to help teachers see what those opportunities are and see how to get there. • Are the career pathways connected to compensation? • Some of the leadership roles have a stipend attached, but there is no connection between the professional levels and the salary scale.

  5. Why should I participate in this? Isn't it just extra work? • Most of the requirements are aligned with TSPC for licensure renewal. These are things that teacher have to do anyways. There are some extra requirements that are included to allow people to demonstrate their readiness for leadership roles.
