  2. Vision is to provide a single location to pull all Internet2 service information together The Internet2 portal will allow members to see how Internet2 services are used

  3. Create a user configurable environment • Control-panel displaying services of interest to the specific user based on InCommon identity • Different levels of data access based on member institution assertions • First portal application will show status of network services • Additional services to be added over time Internet2 Portal Plan

  4. Shows utility of the network (from member perspective) • What institutions communicate the most across the backbone? With each other? • How is the network being used and how is that benefitting Internet2 members? • There are sensitive issues surrounding publication of this information • Will demonstrate the application using mock data • Initial release only to a pilot group to work on determining appropriate data release policy Network Services Portal
