  2. SOLAR ENERGY- PHOTOVOLTAIC PANNELS

  3. What are Photovoltaic Panels? Photovoltaic is the method of generating electrical power, by utilizing solar radiation and converting it into direct current electricity. Photovoltaic power is generated by solar panels comprising of numerous cells containing photovoltaic material. Hence, the series of solar cells attached together form a photovoltaic panel. Due to increasing demand of the use of renewable energy sources, the manufacturing of these solar cells and photovoltaic arrays has exceeded in the recent years.

  4. Inventor • This theory was initiated by French physicist, A. E. Becquerel. • It was his idea of capturing solar heat to make energy called, “ photovoltaic”. • The first model of solar cell was made in 1883. • This inventory was made by Charles Fritts. • Due to the rising Global Warming issue this inventor is now well known, and people can use another renewable resource for compensating Fossil Fuel and other energy sources. • Nowadays, it has become necessary to use the alternative sources of energy.

  5. Shows how the solar heat is converted to Direct Current , which is then converted to Alternating Current.

  6. Photovoltaic arrays are often associated with buildings: either integrated into them, mounted on them or mounted nearby on the ground. USE OF PV PANNELS IN HOUSEHOLD

  7. Solar Photovoltaic Panels

  8. Pros 1. Solar cell do not make pollution during producing energy 2. It can product energy everywhere(small island – space) 3. Solar cell do not make noise pollution 4. It is free and infinite. 5. It can be used automatically and need less maintenance

  9. Cons 1. Have price expensive than electrical in system (energy in home common) 2. Efficiency of solar cell in common market at present have low efficiency (low than nor mal 1.-15 %) that why they need area more than normal 3. Electricity that we have from solar cell have change follow condition climate
